Nubian villa, White Villas

White Villas is where El Gouna started, and the houses built there in the first phases have a character the later phases do not attempt: hand-finished plaster, domed and vaulted ceilings, thick walls that stay cool without air conditioning for most of the day.

This one has four bedrooms in the main house and a self-contained guest annexe across the courtyard, arranged around a pool and a garden with sixteen-year-old planting. It has been carefully maintained and sympathetically updated — new kitchen and bathrooms, original ceilings untouched.

Houses of this vintage rarely come to market, and when they do they are usually bought by people who already live in the town. We expect this to be one of them.
